 The world famous Harlem Gospel Choir is one of the pre-eminent gospel choirs in the world. It travels the globe, sharing its joy of faith through its music, & raising funds for children’s charities. The Choir was founded in 1986 by Allen Bailey, who got the idea for the Choir while attending a celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the renowned Cotton Club in Harlem. The Choir is a gathering of the finest singers and musicians from various Black Churches in Harlem.
The Choir has shared its message of love, peace and harmony for many years with thousands of people from various nations, backgrounds, and cultures. The Harlem Gospel Choir strives to make the world a more loving and peaceful place, and through its music and dynamic performance creates a better understanding of the African-American culture and the inspirational music called Gospel as it relates to the Black Church. The theme of every performance is bringing people & nations together & giving something back. The Choir’s songs of gospel and inspiration touch the depths of the soul and raise spirits to angelic heights. |

| Sexsmith was seventeen when he started playing at a bar, the Lion's Tavern, in his hometown. He would gain a reputation as "The One-Man Jukebox" for his aptitude for playing requests. However, four to five years of this led him to play original songs and more obscure music his audience did not favour.
He decided to start writing songs after the birth of his first child, Christopher, in 1985. He moved to Toronto, formed a band called The Uncool, and released a cassette, Out of the Duff. A year later, he released There’s a Way.Next came the birth of his second child, Evelyne, in 1989.
Meanwhile, he worked as a courier, and released Grand Opera Lane in 1991. On the strength of this album, and the attention garnered by the song "Speaking with the Angels", Sexsmith earned a contract which led to his self-titled album in 1995. The album received wider attention when it was praised by Elvis Costello, for whom Sexsmith later opened.
Between 1997 and 2001, Sexsmith released three more albums before the acclaimed Cobblestone Runway in 2002. Retriever, his next album, is a more pop-oriented album and is dedicated to Elliott Smith and Johnny Cash. In 2004, he performed at the RuhrTriennale in the concert series Century of Song hosted by Grammy Award-winner Bill Frisell.
On 1 May 2001, Sexsmith performed "Just My Heart Talkin'" on the BBC's Later... with Jools Holland musical showcase, alongside R.E.M., Orbital, India.Arie, and Clearlake. Holland backed him on piano. It was his second appearance on the show. He continued to grow in popularity, and began to have some radio success, particularly on Canadian adult oriented radio.
In 2002, Sexsmith recorded a cover version of "This Is Where I Belong", the title track for a tribute album called This Is Where I Belong - The Songs of Ray Davies and the Kinks, and including contributions from Damon Albarn, Bebel Gilberto and Queens of the Stone Age, among others. About this recording, Ray Davies later wrote, "he has a great voice". On 16 June 2011 Ron and his band performed the Kinks' song "Misfits" with Ray Davies at the Meltdown Festival in London, England.
The same year, he won a songwriter of the year Juno Award for "Whatever it Takes".

The Men of the Deeps is a choir of working and retired coal miners from the island of Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Canada. Organized in 1966 as part of Cape Breton's contribution to Canada's Centennial Year (1967), the group's inception was an effort by the people of Cape Breton to preserve in song some of the rich folklore of that island's coal mining communities.
Since 1967 the group has been singing of the work and lifestyle of the Cape Breton coal miner to audiences throughout most of Canada and the United States. In 1976 they became the first Canadian performing group to tour the People’s Republic of China after diplomatic relations between the two nations were restored in 1972. And as recently as September 1999 the men traveled to Kosovo in the former Republic of Yugoslavia at the request of Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs, where they performed in a gala festival organized by actress Vanessa Redgrave on behalf of the United Nations Children’s Fund. The group’s most recent tours have brought the choir as far north as the Ekati diamond mines in the Northwest Territories, and as far south as Arizona, Alabama, Florida and the Appalachian coal mining communities of Kentucky, Virginia and Pennsylvania. In September 2008 the group was invited to perform in Las Vegas at the international MineExpo conference where sold out audiences enjoyed its unique blend of songs and stories for six consecutive nights.

| Ian Thomas
Born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1950, Ian Thomas’ love for music began with piano lessons at age 6. After picking up the guitar at age 14, he began exploring different facets of music and moved to Toronto. He found himself in a folk trio in the mid 60′s with Nora Hutchinson and Oliver MacLeod, uncreatively known as Ian, Oliver and Norah … or was it Oliver, Norah and Ian? By ’69 they were joined by Nancy Ward and Bob Doidge, and luckily simplified things by changing their name to Tranquility Base, and steadily gained a loyal fan base while touring across Canada. He scored a solo deal in ’73 with GRT Records and released his self titled debut that same year. “Painted Ladies” was an instant gold hit and would become his most successful single to date, reaching #4 in Canada and cracking Billboard’s top 40 in the US. The critics had always taken notice of his talents, and along with “Come The Son”, “Another” and “One of Those Days” the album soon went gold. Thomas also was a shoe-in for a Juno for ’73′s Most Promising Male Vocalist. The same year he found himself working on a CBC radio show, again giving him a fresh look on the industry and allowing him to showcase his production and comedy talents. THE NATIONAL ROCK WORKS was a 2 hour music variety show which also allowed his brother Dave to get his start before going on to SCTV and hoser fame & fortune. … I’m Bill Needle … and that’s the way I see it!
Anthem released LOOKING BACK in ’95, a recollection of his earlier chart-toppers and in ’96 The Boomers were still making new hits with the release of their third record, 25,000 DAYS. After a six year recording hiatus, due in part to the death of Ian’s father, The Boomers released their fourth disc, MIDWAY in September of 2002 – with the lead off track “I Want To Believe In Something” the first single. Other songs such as “Greedy Man” and “Politically Correct” helped ensure the world knew one of the tightest groups on the scene today were back. Further proof of Ian and The Boomers’ appeal is the fact Anne Murray recorded “Good Again” and Bette Midler covered “To Comfort You”. His latest project is Lunch at Allen’s – one that includes Murray McLauchlan, Cindy Church and Marc Jordan. He was also somewhat of a fixture at The Possum Lodge on The Red Green Show, showing his under-rated comedic talents and giving the world another view of one of Canada’s true entertainment treasures. |

| Michael Burgess is a popular Canadian actor and singer (tenor).
Burgess is best known for his portrayal of Jean Valjean in the Toronto production of Les Misérables. He appeared as one of the 17 Jean Valjeans at the end of the Les Miserables 10th Anniversary Concert. His other major performances include "Man of la Mancha," "Blood Brothers," and starring roles throughout Canada and the United States.
He is also known in Canada for his frequent vocal performances of national anthems, which he sings prior to Toronto Maple Leafs NHL ice hockey games.
Caine’s career has been divided between opera and musical theatre. She made her West End debut at the age of 19 in the role of Laurey in Oklahoma!. She then sang the role of Eliza in My Fair Lady on a national tour. While making her debut at Glyndebourne as Amor in L'incoronazione di Poppea, she was asked to join the Royal Shakespeare Company where she created the role of Cosette in Les Misérables.
After a successful West End run, she joined the original cast of Phantom of the Opera to play Christine opposite Michael Crawford as alternate (performing 2 shows a week) when original Christine Sarah Brightman left the show and was replaced by the original alternate, Claire Moore (singer).
When the rights to a Canadian production of Phantom were secured, producer Garth Drabinsky aggressively pursued Caine to reprise the role in Toronto. Andrew Lloyd Webber, who greatly admired Caine's portrayal of Christine in the London production, also strongly suggested she take the role. At the time, Caine was very close to signing a contract to star in another West End show. Ultimately, she chose Phantom and relocated to Toronto and also spent time in New York in early 1989 for principal cast rehearsals with director Hal Prince.
The Canadian production of The Phantom of the Opera premiered on October 20, 1989 at the restored Pantages Theatre, with Susan Cuthbert playing Christine two performances per week as Caine's Alternate. The show broke then box office records for advanced ticket sales, and ran for just over ten years. During her run in Toronto, she joined the Canadian Opera Company to make her North American operatic debut in the title role of Alban Berg's Lulu. This led to offers from numerous international opera companies ranging from Claudio Monteverdi to Peter Maxwell Davies, including Pamina, Despina, Susanna, Aminta (Il re pastore), Vixen, Michaela, Musetta, Ophelie, Leila, Marguerite, Violetta, Julietta (Bohuslav Martinů) and Adina for companies such as the Canadian Opera Company, Scottish Opera, English National Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Spoleto Festival, Opéra de Nice, Vlaamse Opera, New Zealand Opera, National Theatre of Prague, and Opera North. In 2006 she performed as Hanna Glawari in Franz Lehár's The Merry Widow for Opera Holland Park in London in 2006.
On October 7, 2006, Caine reunited with her former cast colleagues from the original London production of Les Misérables to sing "One Day More" after a performance in celebration of the show's 21st anniversary making it the longest running musical in the world. The original cast reunited again in 2010 to celebrate the show's 25th anniversary at the O2 in London.
In May 2009, Caine made her Chicago debut in the Chicago Opera Theater’s production of Benjamin Britten’s Owen Wingrave.
In December 2010, Caine returned to the musical theatre stage as Lady Raeburn in Salad Days produced by Tête à Tête
Caine continues to perform solo cabaret performances in addition to her work with opera and theatre companies. |

Artist submissions are now being accepted for the fourth annual Enbridge Music On Main Festival, produced by Admiral Entertainment. The three-day live music festival will be held at numerous live music venues within SouthSimcoe communities including venues in Alliston, Beeton, Cookstown, Tottenham & Loretto, ON, scheduled for May 10-12, 2012.
The 2012 festival will feature roughly fifty live artists and bands of various genres, performing a series of concerts and showcases at South Simcoe’s finest live music venues. All scheduling, headliner and ticketing information will be made available in early spring of 2012.
Headliners and commercial artists at previous festivals produced by Admiral Entertainment have included The Tea Party, The Trews, Steph Lang, The Reason, Into Entropy, Ian Thornley, Big Wreck and more.

Under the Big Big Sky is more than just a confident, compelling exploration of deCarle’s singular voice as a songwriter. It’s an unflinching reflection of where he lives musically and literally, a celebration of the music and musicians who began to influence him long before he began his career forty years ago and a gathering of his closest and dearest musical friends. With Prairie Oyster, Russell’s earned 6 CCMAs for Country Group of the Year. They have 8 gold/platinum albums. While Russell played bass in Oyster, he plays guitar with another guitarist and accordionist in his trio. The Tottenham Bluegrass Festival is three days of Bluegrass Music held June 16, 17, & 18, 2012 in the natural amphitheatre of the Tottenham Conservation Area, by the waters of the village pond. This year's lineup draws popular and award winning bands from the United States and across Canada. As always if you purchase a weekend ticket the camping and campfire picking are free. Tottenham has come to be known as "Ontario's Top Family Festival" (children 16 & under are free with a responsible adult) and we continue to build on this with an expanded children's entertainment lineup and our ever popular youth talent contest. Other attractions including our Saturday night beef barbecue, the Sunday gospel show, hands on workshops and food & craft vendors continue to add to your Bluegrass festival experience.
Tottenham Bluegrass Festival has heard your voice! To comply with alcohol licence regulations, we were required to change the fencing at the 2010 festival. We were not happy, and your survey comments indicated you were not happy. You will be pleased to know we will be changing back to no fencing in the concert area.
